The Fatal Conceit

President Obama Hijacks Osama Bin Laden Death for Political Gain, Navy Seals Criticize

President Obama has now crossed the line from his good old political demagoguery and incendiary, divisive rhetoric into completely insulting, embarrassing conduct. In a recent political ad entitled “One Chance,” the fraud hijacked the death of Osama Bin Laden—an act of justice which resulted in redemption for the family members of those killed on 9/11—for his political advantage. Worse, he insinuated that Romney would not want to kill Osama. Here’s the ad:

The ad conveniently excludes that then Senator Obama excoriated the means by which we acquired the intelligence to deliver justice to Osama Bin Laden. Information from the US Military showed that enhanced interrogation tactics used on very few terrorists at Guantanamo Bay resulted in the intelligence which led the troops to the Pakistani compound where Osama was killed. However, it was these very techniques which Obama assailed and attacked President Bush for doing when he was president. As he said on August 2, 2007:

As President, I will close Guantanamo, reject the Military Commissions Act and adhere to the Geneva Conventions. Our Constitution and our Uniform Code of Military Justice provide a framework for dealing with the terrorists.

He renewed his call to close Guantanamo and end this non-existent torture after he was elected in January 2009:

This is me following through on not just a commitment I made during the campaign, but I think an understanding that dates back to our founding fathers, that we are willing to observe core standards of conduct, not just when it's easy, but also when it's hard.

Indeed, many times did President Obama assail and diminish enhanced interrogation techniques which were instrumental in delivering justice to Osama Bin Laden. If he had had his way, Bin Laden wouldn’t have been killed, just like with Romney. So Romney is terrible for taking imprudent positions which would’ve prohibited Osama’s death in the past, but Obama’s a heroic, great leader for it? The hypocrisy is incredible.

But the incredible hypocrisy pales in comparison to the true revolting gravity of what our fraud-in-chief just did. He has no good record to run on; unemployment which is really around 11%, more inflation, $5 trillion in new debt, he’s continued and expanded the warfare state, despite his promises not to, as well as the welfare state, has destroyed liberty by expanding the PATRIOT Act, while promising not to, destroyed 10% of America’s energy supply with regulations and continues to call for policies which decimate the property rights of the individual as well as our economic prosperity in a revoltingly divisive manner. So he’s now desperately trying to hijack the honor of what our troops did because he has none.

President Obama had virtually nothing to do with the death of Osama, he just sat in his desk in Washington and followed the advice of Generals, who were using intelligence he wouldn’t have gotten, while the real heroes the Navy Seals, actually did something. Yet now Obama’s using their valor, their integrity to his political benefit. It’s as if all these troops are to him are not those who defend our liberty and our country, but just some puppet, some photo-op to use to satisfy his unquenchable, sadistic thirst for power over your life. But what can we expect from a charlatan who said in 2009 to troops in Afghanistan, “You guys make a pretty good photo-op:”

That’s all they are to him, a tool to win an election so he can to invade your life and your liberty. President Obama, our troops are not your campaign ad; they’re not your personal political service, nor puppets to be used by you for your devious, despicable, despotic purposes. They are heroes who defend our country, our liberty and our prosperity with valor. And the fact that you defile their integrity by hijacking their heroism for your revolting gain proves what a reprehensible, disgraceful insult you are to this country.

Thankfully, the troops are not taking this slap-in-the-face, this hubris insult lying down. Former Navy Seal Commander Ryan Zinke recently criticized Obama for using his heroism for his political advantage. “The President and his administration are positioning him as a war president using the SEALs as ammunition,” he said, “It was predictable.”

“Obama wasn’t in the field, at risk, carrying a gun. As president, at every turn he should be thanking the guys who put their lives on the line to do this. He does so in his official speeches because he speechwriters are smart,” a serving Navy SEAL said. “But the more he tries to take the credit for it, the more the ground operators are saying, ‘Come on, man!’ It really didn’t matter who was president. At the end of the day, they were going to go.”

Another former Navy SEAL sniper with 160 confirmed kills, Chris Kyle, says that Obama probably didn’t even make the call. “‘In years to come there is going to be information that will come out that Obama was not the man who made the call,” Kyle said. “He can say he did and the people who really know what happened are inside the Pentagon, are in the military and the military isn’t allowed to speak out against the commander- in-chief so his secret is safe.”

In fact, it appears that this whole narrative that it was President Obama made such a heroic, tough decision is nothing more than a pure lie. A former US Intelligence Official, who served under Obama, told the London Daily Mail that in October 2010 officials knew about Bin Laden’s whereabouts, but Obama refused to make the call. “In the end, Obama was forced to make a decision and do it. He knew that if he didn’t do it the political risks in not taking action were huge,” the official said. “Mitt Romney would have made the call but he would have made it earlier – as would George W. Bush.”

In other words, Obama builds up this narrative that he made such a risky and honorable call, when he didn’t and, in fact, dithered on it. He claims Romney wouldn’t have made the call, when Obama did exactly that in October 2009, because he disagreed with policies which led to Osama’s death in the pass, when Obama made the same mistake of not making the call and criticized policies instrumental to Osama’s death as well.

Obama is lying through his teeth to the American people in an example of shocking hypocrisy. In the process, he has assaulted the honor of our troops and defecated all over the memory of 9/11 victims by using them as his political slaves. If that is not revolting, despicable, divisive, embarrassing and insulting, what is?
