The leftists seem to have the habit of painting the Tea Party as some “hateful,” “uncivil,” organization. Piers Morgan of CNN recently said Sarah Palin and the Tea Party spread some “inflammatory stuff.” We’ve heard all the accusations of calling conservative groups “terrorist organizations” from the liberal hacks at the Southern Poverty Law Center, all the Special Comments on the Tea Party’s non-existent “hatred” from Keith Olbermann when he was still at MSNBC, all the accusations of “incivility” in general from the left. They only have a few instances they can site to back up their claims, such as Sarah Palin putting targets on a map (which was used as a political metaphor), the murder of abortionist Dr. George Tiller and the Oklahoma City bombings by Timothy McVeigh in 1995. However, these very same liberals who pretend to be oh-so-concerned about “civility” in political discourse completely ignore the vitriol and outright violence coming from their side of the aisle.
So let us take a quick look at the “civility” of the left:
Today leftists like to label themselves as “progressives.” However, if you look at where they get this, they get it from the early 20th century of liberals who also called themselves “progressives.” The dark history of this movement, however, is carefully hidden from daylight. The fact is that these “progressives” actually embraced violent, vitriolic revolutions such as the fascist movement in Italy, the Nazi movement in Germany and the Bolshevik revolution in Russia.
Progressive Isaac F. Morrison once wrote of Italian dictator and father of fascism Benito Mussolini in the New York Times, “Mussolini is a Latin [Teddy] Roosevelt who first acts and then inquires if it is legal. He has been of great service to Italy at home.” Another Progressive Will Rodgers said after meeting Mussolini “I’m pretty high on that bird.” He continued to say, “Dictator form of government is the greatest form of government: that is if you have the right dictator.”Another self-proclaimed progressive who was a staunch supporter of Franklin Roosevelt, one of the favorite presidents of modern-day liberals, was a strong supporter of fascism as well. Wells said in a 1932 speech under a banner reading “Liberal Fascism”, that he is “asking for a Liberal Fascisti, for enlightened Nazis.”
Speaking of the Nazis, Progressives of their time also had a flattering view of Hitler’s Third Reich. Founder of Planned Parenthood, a liberal organization commonly supported by leftists to this day, Margaret Sagner did love the Nazi government for their endorsement of Eugenics. She was the editor for a progressive publication called the “Birth Control Review.” The birth control review was so supportive of Nazis it had Hitler’s own head of Eugenics, Ernst Rüdin, write an article in the publication entitled “Eugenic Sterilization: An Urgent Need.”
In addition, the Progressives loved the Bolshevik communists in Russia. W.E.B. Du Bois, another self-proclaimed progressive, loved the Bolsheviks. He once wrote in the Progressive publication the “New Republic” (a publication which defended and downplayed the horrors of the Soviet Union saying “You need to crack some eggs to make an omelet” as well as the holocaust) after visiting the Soviet Union a very fawning review of Bolshevik communism. “If what I've seen with my eyes and heard with my ears in Russia is Bolshevism,” Du Bois wrote, “then I am a Bolshevik.”
Nazi rule in Germany ended in genocide, Mussolini killed those who dissented with him and allied with Hitler and the Bolsheviks in Russia went on with a horrific genocidal rule, which they were promoting at the time, which ended in the slaughter of 50 million people. How can the lef went on with a horrific genocidal rule, which they were promoting at the time, which ended in the slaughter of 50 million people. How can the left attack the Tea Party as hateful for wanting smaller government when they declare themselves members of a movement which condones genocide?
If you want to fast-forward a few decades, you’ll see more “civility” from the left. In the 1960s-70s, the hippie movement was long known for provoking mass riots and terrorist cells. In fact, many of these grew out of the largest group at the time, the Students for a Democratic Society. A brief look at the history will reveal that many of today’s liberal leaders are the members of that group, such as the Clintons.
However, that very group gave rise to many liberal terrorist cells, some of which are still oft mentioned today. One was the Weather Underground, who was wanted by the FBI in the 60s and 70s for terrorist activity. The Weather Underground bombed the Pentagon, the New York Police Headquarters and many others. In 1968 in Chicago the Weatherman unleashed what they called “The Days of Rage.” They proclaimed that the terrorist attacks they’d done had done “more damage to the ruling class…than any mass peaceful gatherings they had ever seen.” To this day, the spirit of the Weather Underground lives on. Not only does Obama have strong ties to the Weather Underground founder Bill Ayers, but former Weatherman Jones sits on the leftist environmentalist board the Apollo Alliance.
In addition, the Black Panther Party arose out of the SDS. The Black Panthers even took over Cornell University using violence in 1968, and still promotes and uses violence to this day. The Black Panthers were caught using voter intimidation to attack those who’d vote against Obama as recently as 2008. In fact, this very Black Panther member was tried for voter intimidation and was defended by the Obama administration:
The SDS is still alive and well today and loved by the left. Not only did they participate in the Wisconsin Union Protests of February of 2011, left-wing “journalist” Chris Matthews recently endorsed the SDS on his MSNBC show:

How can the left call the right hateful for wanting smaller government when they associate themselves with the SDS, an organization which endorsed terror in the sixties?
If you want to fast forward just a few years, former US president Ronald Reagan had repeated attempts on his life by leftists for his political views. Yet the left says the Tea Party is “provoking violence” on Obama by just disagreeing with his policies when Reagan had deliberate assassination attempts for his stances from leftists in the eighties.
Just a few decades later, you’ll see a lot more hate come from the left. There were plenty of people joking about George Bush being assassinated. Including buttons and shirts asking for Bush to be killed and signs held by liberal protestors graphically depicting Bush’s head being torn off:

In 2008, there was an attempted attack by a liberal on the Republican Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota. The operation which would’ve killed hundreds of people was stopped by the FBI. Apparently, a man stopped the attack by calling the police. After that, a group of liberals released a poster with a picture and name of the man who did it and called for people to, “Find him and Kill him!” Here’s that poster:

More recently, a pro-life protestor was killed while protesting in Owasso, MI. In September 2009, Jim Poullion was killed for his pro-life beliefs. However, the very leftists who call the tea party hateful for wanting a smaller government ignored this.
In February 2010, a man, Joe Stack, flew his plane into an IRS building in Austin, Texas. The media tried to pin Stack’s act on the Tea Party. However, in a long, rambling rant posted online Stack mocked capitalism and embraced communism, indicating he was a leftist. “The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need,” Stack wrote. “The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed.”
In August of 2010, environmentalist extremist took a group of people at Discovery Network hostage. He posted a set of “demands,” among them were to force people to buy into global warming and change their lives, have Discovery run programs which “stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants,” for Discovery to stop “advertising weapons of mass-destruction” on military shows and for Discovery to run more global warming propaganda. This extremist actions were obviously politically inspired by a left-wing agenda.
In June 2011, liberal group MoveOn.org admitted to illegally hacking Fox News’s news ticker outside their headquarters in New York City to spread a liberal agenda:

There have also been a number of hateful death threats by leftists, usually against tea partiers.
Back in March 2009, AIG executive Edward Liddy read a death threat sent to him to congress. This was at a time when the left-wing media was trumping up anti-bank executive rhetoric due to the fact that they were getting bonuses. One of the more disturbing death threats he received said, “All the executives and their families should be executed with piano wire around their necks!" He insinuated that this wasn’t the only one.
In March of 2010, a man from Philadelphia, Norman Leebon, was arrested for sending death threats in a You Tube video to conservative congressman Eric Cantor for his conservative views on healthcare. In addition, Cantor’s offices in Richmond, VA received a gun shot through a window, which was also probably politically inspired.
In April of 2010, Harry Reid was mocking the Tea Party. In the midst of the speech, a liberal Harry Reid supporter in the crowd screamed that Tea Party members can “drop dead:”

Also in April of 2010, a New Jersey teacher’s union sent a death threat to their conservative governor Chris Christie. The Bergen County Teacher’s Union sent a letter to its 17,000 members reading, “Dear lord,' this year you have taken away my favorite actor, Patrick Swayze, my favorite actress, Farrah Fawcett, my favorite singer, Michael Jackson, and my favorite salesman, Billy Mays. I just wanted to let you know that Chris Christie is my favorite governor."
In July of 2010, Arizona Sherriff Paul Babue received several death threats for his support of the Arizona law which cracked down on illegal immigration.
In August of 2010 conservative Tea Party organizer FreedomWorks received a bomb threat in their Washington, D.C. headquarters. They received a call from a liberal who said, “I put a bomb in your building, b****." Another caller threatened several conservative talkshow hosts. “Now, we are going to destroy and obliterate Rush [Limbaugh] and Sean Hannity. Those two guys are dead,” the caller said.
In January of 2011, a liberal man was arrested for sending death threats to conservative congressman Jim McDermitt for his stances on taxes. Take a look at some of what the man who threatened him said in a phone call to McDermitt’s office:
“He’s a piece of human filth. He’s a liar, he’s a communist, he’s a piece of f***ing garbage. Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, or George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, if any of them had ever met uh, uh Jim McDermott, they would blow his brains out. They’d shoot him, in the head. They’d kill him because he’s a piece of, of, of disgusting garbage …And you let that f***ing scum bag know, that if he ever f***s around with my money, ever the fuck again, I’ll f***ing kill him, okay. I’ll round them up, I’ll kill them, I’ll kill his friends, I’ll kill his family, I will kill everybody he f***ing knows.”
How about anti-Palin hate? Take a look at some of these. The trendy “Abort Palin” bumper stickers and don’t forget pictures of liberals with a fake gun pointed at Sarah Palin’s head:

Also don’t forget “comedian” Sarah Bernhard joking about Sarah Palin being “gang-raped by my big black brothers:”

Or the democratic underground which, in 2008, had an article about Palin which was entitled “KILLER PYSCHO FUNDIE B***H FROM HELL!!”
Or in June 2011, Sarah Palin’s bus was defaced with a “Media Whore” sign:

Also in January of 2011, a liberal victim of the Tucson tragedy in which congressman Gabrielle Giffords was shot screamed a death threat to the Tea Party. Jacob Fuller went to a Tea Party meeting and screamed at the speaker, ““You’re Dead!” He was quickly removed for his threat.
I pointed earlier out the violence in the sixties by left wing mobs associated with the SDS. However, those mobs continue to this day.
In November of 2007, a group of liberal anti-war Washington protestors illegally blocked a shipment of military supplies:

In May 2011, a mass protest of leftists, mainly on the topic of pro-amnesty, took place in Las Angeles. Out of the protest came several signs with vitriolic rhetoric on them, including signs openly embracing communist, genocidal dictators such as Ho Chi Mihn, Stalin, Lenin and Che:

Don’t forget the endless vitriol we see come from the very left-wing propagandists who spread the lie that the tea party’s hateful:
Mike Malloy calling for Glenn Beck to kill himself on-air, saying he has a “violence fantasy” towards former Bush press secretary Danna Perrino, telling Rush Limbaugh to “choke on your neck-fat,” and wishes for Palin to “drive herself completely into madness:”

Richard Glover of the Sidney Morning Herald saying that global warming deniers should be “forcibly tattooed,” “lashed to a poll” over the ocean to drowned and should suffer a “painful, thrashing death:”
“Surely it's time for climate-change deniers to have their opinions forcibly tattooed on their bodies.
Not necessarily on the forehead; I'm a reasonable man. Just something along their arm or across their chest so their grandchildren could say, ''Really? You were one of the ones who tried to stop the world doing something? And why exactly was that, granddad?''
On second thoughts, maybe the tattooing along the arm is a bit Nazi-creepy. So how about they are forced to buy property on low-lying islands, the sort of property that will become worthless with a few more centimetres of ocean rise, so they are bankrupted by their own bloody-mindedness? Or what about their signed agreement to stand, in the year 2040, lashed to a pole at a certain point in the shallows off Manly? If they are right and the world is cooling - ''climate change stopped in the year 1998'' is one of their more boneheaded beliefs - their mouths will be above water. If not …
OK, maybe the desire to see the painful, thrashing death of one's opponents is not ideal. But, my God, these people are frustrating. You just know that in 20 years' time, when the costs of our inaction are clear, the climate deniers will become climate-denial-deniers. ''Who me? Oh, no, I always believed in it. Yes, it's hard to understand why people back then were so daft. It's so much more costly to stop it now.''
That's why the tattoo has its appeal.”

I could go on and on and on all day about leftist violence and vitriol, however I believe you get the point by now. If not, you’re probably a liberal.
The most the left can do to make the idiotic argument that the Tea Party’s a hateful organization is cite a few examples of isolated violence or vitriol. They use these isolated instances, which happen once in a blue moon, to discredit and smear an entire movement made up of virtually half the country. If you believe that that’s logical, you’re completely insane.
However, they ignore the endless hate and vitriol that comes from their side. The hypocrisy and double standard is amazing.
Even though the left has a lot more hate then the right, it does not mean that all liberals are hateful. Clearly, there are nutcases and then there are normal liberals. However, because the left likes to take those isolated examples and use them to smear the entire movement, by their own definition they are violent and hateful.
Only a liberal would say that all that I just pointed out is fine, but this is completely hateful:
